所有属于『后街男孩』的传奇，都得从93年佛罗里达州奥兰多市那一场命运的相逢开始说起：当时在高中就读的Aj(AJ McLean)、豪儿(Howie Dorough)以及尚在初中就读的尼克(Nick Carter)，因为一起参加当地戏剧表演所举办的试镜会而结为好友，他们由于受到当时走红的Boyz II Men、Color Me Badd等男孩团体的影响而合组了一个乐团。当他们打算增加乐团的成员时，透过朋友的介绍，认识了当时在迪斯尼乐园扮演阿拉丁的凯文(Kevin Richardson) 并且邀请他加入乐团，另一方面当他们在奥兰多市内遍寻不着第五个成员时，凯文突然想起了他远在肯德基州的表弟布莱恩(Brian Littrell)，在凯文的电话攻势下布莱恩决定搬到奥兰多和大家一起打拼，至此，『后街男孩』的成员终告底定，在决定团名的时候，他们引用了在当地年轻人间相当出名的跳蚤市场─Backstreet Market的响亮名号，为自己的乐团取了『后街男孩』(Backstreet Boys)这个名字，并且正式踏出称霸全球的第一步。

至今为止，后街在全世界的唱片销量已达1亿。97年在美国发行的《Backstreet Boys》和99年的《Millennium》均以在美国超过1千万张的销量获钻石大奖。他们拥有12支top40上榜单曲，其中“Quit Playing Games (with My Heart),” “As Long As You Love Me,” Everybody (Backstreet’s Back)” 和 “All I Have To Give”更是打进美国单曲榜前五名。

Description: Backstreet Boys are a Grammy-nominated American boy band. They were the first group launched by fallen boy band mogul Lou Pearlman. They have had 13 Top 40 hits on the Billboard Hot 100 and have sold over 100 million albums worldwide, making them one of the best selling boy bands of all time; they were number 1 in concert and album sales from 1997-2005 (when they earned $533.1 million).

After returning to the music scene in 2005, their sound changed dramatically, incorporating only live instruments (some of which they play themselves) and a more guitar and piano driven pop rock sound. The four-member group consists of Nick Carter, Howie Dorough, Brian Littrell and A. J. McLean. Original member Kevin Richardson left the group on June 23, 2006 to begin a family, but the four-piece refused to rule out a possible return for the singer.

The Unbreakable World Tour was also the group's first tour since the Never Gone World Tour in 2005. It kicked off in Japan with two sold out concerts in the Tokyo Dome. The group is making the tour more like the one's they put on during the start of their career with more dancing than their previous tour. An interesting aspect of this tour is that each member will perform a solo number during the concert. The group is also going back to more of a matching and set wardrobe. The group's sold out show at the O2 arena in London was recorded for a webcast and tour DVD. Extra lighting and pyrotechnics was added to aid in the process.
